01 January 2013 Child & social protection | Communication & Participation | Education | Emergency | Health | HIV/Aids | Nutrition | Social Policy, Research & Data | Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Whilst health indicators in Mozambique have improved substantially over the years, child survival continues to be a key concern, with 320 children under 5 dying every day from preventable disease, according to the UNICEF Annual Report for 2012 released today. The report also highlights improvement in enrolment and dropout rates, progress which contrasts with the lagging quality of infrastructure and teaching-learning practices.
